Legacy Locksmith Near Me “were a great help”

We strongly recommend to all our residential locksmith clients, that they consider replacing their existing builder grade locks and deadbolts with commercial "grade 2" or better lock sets if they have not already done so.

Many times when we are called out on emergency locksmith York service calls to open residential lock-outs in the York Pa area we find houses that still have the original builder grade locks installed. These locks provide very little security for homes. Our locksmiths typically open residential grade locks within a few seconds using a snap gun. Even though we utilize specialty locksmith tools, we believe locks should present more then a few seconds challenge to us.

Not only do we recommend installation of commercial grade locks, but we install these locks upside-down. Typical American locks are installed so that the key's teeth face upwards when inserted into the lock. This leaves the lock compromised by snap guns, lock pick guns and electric pick guns.

However, locks installed upside down, so the key's teeth (biting) faces down, are not susceptible to lock pick guns. This will enhance the lock's inherent security.
